New Jersey enacts amendments to UCC Article 9

nj-2015New Jersey’s General Assembly passed legislation to address fraudulent UCC financing statements in May. The new legislation amended the requirements for sufficiency of a UCC financing statement; expanded the filing office’s power to reject potentially-fraudulent UCC records and to remove them from the UCC index; and, provided additional remedies for certain victims of fraudulent UCC filings.
