Delaware – Effective immediately increases the minimum tax for corporations and annual tax for alternative entities

House Bill 265 (Chapter  212) was signed by the governor April 15 and effective immediately increases the minimum tax fee for corporations to $175 and the annual tax fee for alternative entities to $300.  The Secretary of State will enforce the new tax rates effective July 1, 2014 for tax year 2014 and thereafter.  All references to the tax rates on the Secretary of State’s website have been updated as well as the tax calculator (one for current rates and a second for July 1 rates). The bill text can be accessed at the Delaware Legislature website.
