House Bill 18 (Chapter 21) signed by the governor and effective May 28 amends existing law relating to safe destruction of records containing personal identifying information to clarify that a business entity transacting business in the state means the course or practice of carrying on any business activity and includes the solicitation of business or orders in the state.
