House Bill 86 (Chapter No. 147) signed by the governor August 30 and effective retroactively to June 24, 2015 corrects an unintended consequence of a 2015 law by preventing double taxation of premium ceded to a series captive insurance company or protected cell and precludes premium taxation of series LLCs, when premium is written only in the series of such of series LLC.
