We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Moncarz as Managing Director, Operations for Asia-Pacific.

In this newly-created role, Michael will oversee Intertrust’s Asia-Pacific operations and build a regional platform by supporting the Company’s business development initiatives and maximising its operational efficiency. In addition to its two main business hubs in Singapore and Hong Kong, Intertrust also has a presence in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, as well as Australia and New Zealand. In total, Intertrust has a headcount of over 350 staff in the Asia-Pacific region.

Michael commented: “Intertrust has seen extensive growth in the Asia-Pacific region in the past year, bolstered by its commitment to building strong partnerships and delivering innovative, tech-enabled corporate and fund solutions for clients. Following the opening of Intertrust’s newest office in Shenzhen in September 2019, I am confident that having a regional platform will enable us to expand our growing presence in the region, foster further collaboration between our Asia-Pacific offices, and develop more inbound and outbound opportunities for our key clients.”

Michael has a strong background in senior operational roles within corporate and investment banking as well as the private wealth management industry in Asia. Prior to joining Intertrust, Michael was Chief Operating Officer, Singapore branch, at Union Bancaire Privee and previously, Managing Director, Head of Financing and Fixed-Income Forex Operations Asia-Pacific at Natixis.

In addition, Intertrust has welcomed three new hires at its Singapore office. Vassilena Ouzounova has been appointed Senior Manager, Capital Markets; while Song Yongtao and Nicholas Tan join as Trust Manager and Manager, Private Wealth, respectively. This is in line with the Company’s strategy to deepen its bench strength in the private wealth management and capital markets sectors in the Asia-Pacific region.
