Our latest Global Wealth Trends Report 2021 shines a spotlight on what is driving the private wealth industry to develop more sophisticated and complex processes.

In 2020, Intertrust Group commissioned research among 100 private wealth and private client managers and advisors based around the world to gauge sentiment on a range of key industry issues.

The resulting Global Wealth Trends Report 2021 underscores the wide-ranging challenges – and opportunities – in the private wealth sector and the fundamental need for stakeholders such as service providers, jurisdictions and private clients themselves to adapt to a fast-evolving environment.

One of the many findings from the research was that succession planning, effective tax planning strategies and efficient wealth transfer were very important. Succession planning, for instance, was noted as the fastest-growing private wealth service. In addition, many respondents observed a demand for – and acceptance of – greater transparency and the need for greater governance in managing private wealth.
