Washington – Important Changes to Not for Profit Filings Effective January 1, 2022
The Secretary of State is implementing changes to its online filing systems for non-profit corporations to comply with Senate Bill 5034 (Chapter 176) signed in May 2021 and effective January 1, 2022. Nonprofit corporation filings will not be available online beginning Thursday December 30. Nonprofit corporation documents may be filed in January and February 2022 using paper filing options. The new nonprofit corporation forms with instructions will be available Tuesday December 28 on the filing office website at https://www.sos.wa.gov/corps/forms.aspx. Paper forms will be processed in the order received, or an expedited option is available for an additional fee. Documents also may be walked into the filing office for same day filing. CSC will post updates when available from the filing office.
