Illinois – Engineering for Conservation Services Not For Profit Organization and Insurance Business Transfers
Senate Bill 247 (Public Act 66) signed by the governor and effective June 9 provides that a not-for-profit corporation may be organized to do engineering for conservation services. The bill text can be accessed here.

Louisiana – Foreign Corporation Supporting Document Changes
House Bill 395 (Act 26) signed by the governor May 30 and effective August 1 provides that foreign corporations shall submit a duplicate certificate of name change or certificate of merger from its state of incorporation or a certified copy of the filed document in case the home state does not provide such certificate. Oklahoma – Charitable Organization Legislation
House Bill 772 became law May 26 with the legislature’s override of the governor’s April 25 veto and effective July 1 requires certain charitable organizations registered in Oklahoma to give 45 days’ notice to the Attorney General before dissolution, merger or transfer of charitable assets.
