Rhode Island – Update on Legislative Changes Affecting Business Entities
The Secretary of State posted an update on legislative changes that affect business entities. House Bill 5984A/Senate Bill 789A established a single annual report filing period that aligns with the state’s annual tax filing deadline. HB 6064A/SB 836A established a statutory framework for merger or consolidation of non-profit corporations similar to the process for business corporations.
