Louisiana – Domestic Insurer or HMO Required to Obtain Approval of the Commissioner of Insurance Prior to a Merger

Senate Bill 199 (Act 379) signed by the governor June 5 and effective August 1 requires a domestic  insurer or HMO to obtain the approval of the Commissioner of Insurance prior to a merger.
