Louisiana – New Legislation Regarding Entities Registered with the Department of Insurance

Effective January 1, 2018, all risk bearing entities (as defined in La. R.S. 22:48) registered with the Department of Insurance must certify annually to the commissioner, and update within 30 days after a change, a consumer complaint contact, a regulatory compliance contact, an annual statement contact and a premium tax contact.

Effective January 1, 2018, Act 154 signed by the governor June 12 amended certain provisions for insurance producer licensing.
