HB 702 (Chapter 68) and SB 622 (Chapter 67) signed by the governor April 9 and effective October 1 authorize preclearance of documents for a nonrefundable fee of $275, 2-hour expedite service for $425, and waiver by the State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) of filing of a resident agent’s written consent if the entity certifies that written consent has been obtained, maintains a copy of the consent and provides to SDAT upon request .
