The governor signed Senate Bill 77 on 4/14/15 to prohibit the filing of fraudulent UCC records. The new law will require the filing office to send a notice to debtors listed on potentially fraudulent UCC records and allow the filing office to terminate the records under certain conditions. The law takes effect on 10/1/2015.
