The Secretary of State sent email notifications regarding a Compliance Mail Scam in which newly formed entities receive postcards from “Business Compliance Division” regarding a “potential compliance violation” and instructions to call a toll free number. Callers are told that a certificate of good standing is required. The Secretary of State has advised business entities that the post card was not sent by the filing office and no action is required by the filing office.
