Montana – Legislation Makes Assumed Business Names Effective for 5 Years

House Bill 80 signed by the governor February 17 and effective October 1 revises business entity statutes to (1) make assumed business name registration effective for 5 years unless cancelled earlier by filing a cancellation of registration form and (2) permit the Secretary of State to deliver electronic notices to business entities.
