Senate Bill 41 (Chapter 355) signed by the governor June 4 and effective October 1 permits the Secretary of State to conduct periodic, special or any other examination of records required to be maintained pertaining to the duties of a registered agent and amends the LLC and LP statutes to provide that certain records shall be maintained at a principal place of business in Nevada or with a custodian of records, and the name and street address of the custodian of records shall be available at the entity’s registered office and provided to the Secretary of State upon request.
