Senate Bill 60 (Chapter 221) signed by the governor May 28 and effective October 1 among other things (1) changes the supporting document for qualification by a foreign entity from a certificate of existence to a declaration of existence and good standing and (2) authorizes the imposition of a fine between $1,000 and $10,000 for persons conducting business who willfully failed or neglected to comply with the requirement to obtain or renew a state business license.
