Effective January 1, a benefit corporation can be formed in Nevada by filing articles of incorporation or amending current articles with the Secretary of State. Assembly Bill 89 passed in May 2013 authorized benefit corporation filings which must identify one or more specific public benefits as an additional purpose of the corporation.
