New Jersey – Temporary Reinstatement Process for Revoked Entities Beginning March 1, 2020 until June 15, 2020

The Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services Commercial Information Services Bureau has made available details of a temporary process for revoked entities to reinstate or dissolve through a single online filing between March 1, 2020 and June 15, 2020.

This process was authorized by 2019 Chapter Law No. 149 which can be accessed at https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/PL19/149_.HTM

Normally a business entity in revoked status must file a reinstatement or dissolution/withdrawal application together with an application for tax clearance (corporations only) and pay all outstanding tax liabilities, annual reports and administrative fees.  The streamlined process enables business owners who attest that their business has no outstanding state tax obligations to reinstate or dissolve through a single filing and pay a fee of $500.00 plus any convenience or credit card processing fee.  Participating entities will not be required to file multiple forms, pay multiple fees or apply for tax clearance.
