New Mexico – Legislation effective July 1 transfers responsibility for corporations and LLCs from PRC to SOS

Section 9 of House Bill 46 (Chapter No. 75) signed by the governor March 29 and effective July 1 transfers the responsibility for chartering corporations and LLCs from the Corporations Bureau of the Public Regulation Commission (PRC) to the Secretary of State (SOS) which already administers filings by partnerships in New Mexico.  The bill text can be accessed at http://www.nmlegis.gov/Sessions/13%20Regular/final/HB0046.pdf.
