Assembly Bill 776 (Chapter No. 4) signed by the governor January 24 and effective January 31 amends election law to apply to limited liability companies the provisions that already apply to corporations under New York law and to require disclosure to the state board of elections by December 31 of the individuals with membership interests in LLCs making contributions for political purposes.
