November and December 2014 State Holiday Closings

Listed below are state government office closures for the months of October, November and December.  This information was provided by each state as of November 3, 2014 and may be subject to change without CSC’s knowledge.  CSC will update this information as we become aware of any changes.  (Please note that court, county and local jurisdictions may vary.)  As the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays approach, many states will have last minute closures.

November 4 (Tuesday) Offices in the following states will be CLOSED for General Election Day:

  • Delaware
  • Hawaii
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Louisiana
  • Maryland
  • Michigan
  • Montana
  • New Jersey
  • Rhode Island

November 11 (Tuesday) Offices in ALL STATES will be CLOSED for Veteran’s Day except the following state will be open:

  • Wisconsin

November 26 (Wednesday) Offices in the following states will be CLOSED for the Thanksgiving holiday:

  • Maryland
  • Mississippi (close at 1:00pm cst)
  • Pennsylvania (close at 3:00pm est)
  • Texas (close at Noon cst)
  • Virginia (close at Noon est)

November 27 (Thursday)

Offices in ALL STATES will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving Day.

November 28 (Friday) Offices in the following states will be CLOSED for the Day after Thanksgiving:

December 25 (Thursday) Offices in ALL STATES will be CLOSED for Christmas Day.

December 26 (Friday) Offices in the following states will be CLOSED for the Christmas holiday:

  • Texas

December 31 (Wednesday) Offices in the following states will be CLOSED for New Year’s Eve:

  • Maryland
  • Michigan
  • Tennessee
  • Wisconsin
  • West Virginia (close at Noon est)

January 1 (Thursday) Offices in ALL STATES will be CLOSED for New Year’s Day.

January 2 (Friday) Offices in the following state will be closed:

  • Kentucky

State Holiday – Election Day – The Division of Corporations will be closed.

Tuesday, November 11, 2014

State Holiday – Veterans Day – The Division of Corporations will be closed.

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

There will be no change in the regular hours of the Division – the 4-12 shift will be working 4 P.M. to 12 Midnight

Thursday, November 27 & Friday, November 28, 2014

State Holidays – Thanksgiving Day and day after Thanksgiving – The Division of Corporations will be closed.

Friday, December 12, 2014

Division Employee Recognition Luncheon – The 4-12 shift will be working 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. and the following changes will be in effect:

  • All 30 Minute and Priority 1 (one-hour service) must be received by 5 P.M.; Priority 2 (two-hour service) must be received by 4 P.M.  All other cut-off times will remain unchanged.
  • Personnel in the Division will not be available between the hours of 11:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.
  • 30 Minute, Priority 1 and 2 filings/requests will not be processed between the hours of 11:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. and must be submitted prior to 10 A.M. in order to be processed prior to Division personnel leaving for the recognition event.
  • DCIS, the Imaging System and Fax Gateway will be available until 10:30 P.M. for securing filing dates and times.

Tuesday, December 23, 2014

The 4-12 shift will be working 2:30 P.M. to 10:30 P.M.

  • DCIS, the Imaging System and Fax Gateway will be available until 12 Midnight for securing filing dates and times.

Wednesday, December 24, 2014

Christmas Eve – The Division of Corporations will be closing at 4:30 P.M. – The 4-12 shift will be working 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and the following changes will be in effect:

  • All 30 Minute and Priority 1 (one-hour service) must be received by 2:30 P.M., Priority 2 (two-hour service) must be received by 2 P.M., Same Day and Must approvals are required to be received by 1 P.M.
  • 4:30 P.M. the system will be completely down and we are unable to secure any filing dates after this time

State Holiday – Christmas Day – The Division of Corporations will be closed.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

New Year’s Eve – The 4-12 shift will be working 12 Noon to 8 P.M. and the following changes will be in effect:

  • All 30 Minute and Priority 1 (one-hour service) must be received by 6 P.M. and Priority 2 (two-hour service) must be received by 5 P.M.  All other cut-off times will remain unchanged.
  • DCIS, the Imaging System and Fax Gateway will be available until 12 Midnight for securing filing dates and times.
