Oregonjust became the second state to enact the 2010 Amendments to UCC Article 9 this year. The governor signed House Bill 4035 on Monday, March 5, 2012. The new law provides the Alternative B “Safe Harbor” approach for individual debtor name sufficiency in Section 9-503(a)(4), incorporates by reference the new UCC forms set forth in the final official text of Article 9 (2010) in Section 9-521, and takes effect on July 1, 2013.
