Senate Bill 1518 signed by the governor May 22 and effective September 1 amends the Business Organizations Code to among other things authorizes a filing fee of $15.00 for a certificate of validation and a fee for each new filing instrument attached as an exhibit to the certificate of validation and a fee of $50.00 for nonprofit associations to file a certificate of merger or conversion regardless of whether the surviving or new nonprofit organization is a domestic or foreign entity.
