Senate Bill 1754 signed by the governor and effective June 22 clarifies that the form and filing of a business entity document must meet all statutory requirements and requirements set by rule in order to be filed; changes the timing of annual report filings from the first day of the fourth month following the close of the corporation’s fiscal year to a different filing date set by rule of the Secretary of State; and authorizes the Secretary to prescribe a mandatory form and filing method for entity filings and for solicitation of charitable funds.
