The governor signed Senate Bill 93 to adopt the ULC “Hip-Pocket” amendments to Article 9 that are intended to address fraudulent UCC filing activities. The new law provides the filing office with the power to terminate a wrongfully filed record, provides a method for reinstatement and modifies provisions related to what constitutes filing and the effectiveness of a record.
