Senate Bill 1309 (Chapter 594) signed by the governor March 16 and effective May 1, 2019 provides for filing in the office of the Clerk of the Stock Corporation Commission a certificate of assumed or fictitious name and eliminates the existing requirement to file an assumed name certificate with the circuit court clerk.
