Washington – Possible Department of Revenue Shutdown July 1

The Department of Revenue on June 9 recommended that businesses with business license renewals or annual report filings due by June 30 should renew as soon as possible to avoid a disruption of online services in the event the legislature does not approve a state budget prior to July 1.  According to the Department of Revenue, if a budget is not approved by June 27, the MyDOR portal will be taken offline and paper applications and renewal may be submitted only by mail. If there is a shutdown, all Revenue offices will be closed Monday, July 3, until a state budget is enacted.
