New Jersey – COVID-19 Related Legislation

Senate Bill 2338 (Chapter 2020-19) signed by the governor and effective April 14 enacted the “COVID-19 Fiscal Mitigation Act” to extend the deadline for the gross income tax and the corporation business tax from April 15 to July 15 with no penalties or interest.   https://njleg.state.nj.us/2020/bills/A4000/3861_I1.HTM

Assembly Bill 3861 (Chapter 2020-15) signed by the governor and effective March 20 permits corporations to shareholder meetings in part or solely by remote communication during a state of emergency. https://njleg.state.nj.us/2020/bills/A4000/3861_I1.HTM
