Texas – SB 699, effective September 1, pertains to assumed name certificates

SB 699 signed by the governor June 14 and effective September 1 eliminates the requirement that an entity filing an assumed name certificate include the entity’s registered address and  clarifies that a filing entity need to only list the street or mailing address of the principal office inside or outside of Texas.  The bill text can be accessed at http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/tlodocs/83R/billtext/html/SB00699F.htm.
